What kind of jobs are out there that has to do w/ animals?

I love animals so much and I want to go to college for something that has to do with animals. I want to know what are all the jobs out there that has to do w/ animals, and what does it consist of?

Thanx!!

What kind of jobs are out there that has to do w/ animals?
Theres TONS of jobs with animals.

Vet Tech- 2 year Associates Applied Science Degree. Pretty much a nurse for animals. You do everything in a Vet clinic except surgeries, diagnose, prognoses, and prescribe. If you want to be rich and have it all, go for a Vet degree. If your in it for the animals go for the tech degree.

Vet- 6-8 years of school. Graduate with a Doc. of Vet Med degree. Vet tech but can do the four things techs can't. Can make up to $60 thousand a year

Humane Society-Rescue animals from abuse and neglect, find them good homes. Rehab animals. Many various jobs. Pay varies with location.

Wildlife Ranger/Park Ranger- Help wildlife (buffalo, eagles, beavers, etc.) regain populations and habitats. Many other aspects. Pay varies.

There are many other options. You'll find one for you. Congratulations on making the decision to help animals.
Reply:you could always work at a zoo. but you could go to school to be a veterinary technician ( I am) and you could be an animal cop, start a kennel, or work at any vet office.
Reply:it depends on what kind of animals you want to work with.

there is always a vet, a vet tech (assistant)

animal trainers, raisers, animal control officer, nutritionist, dog judge, breeder, there is alot, i cant name to many with out knowing what you want to work with.

your best bet is to get into and animal science program in college and do like a survey of animals you want to work with, and then pinpoint a career.
Reply:be a dog walker.
Reply:Vet-- large animals, small animals and you can also get a certain digree that is for a spacific animal (horse etc)
Reply:I've thought about going to college for buisness management dog grooming and dog training. I've been thinking about starting up my own buisness. I was thinking of managing a dog boarding/day care facility and having grooming and training there. It's a way to get money and do the things you enjoy the most... (you could also board/day care cats as well or other animals at that matter.)
Reply:I went to college and got a degree in Biology. Then I worked at an aquarium as an aquarist, but it doesn't pay too well. Then I became a vet tech and got certified as a laboratory animal technician. Now I work at a Biotech company and treat all of the animals that we have there.
