What jobs typically have the least hours per week?

I enjoy my leisure time, and I plan to one day have a family of my own to take care of. I'd like to know which jobs typically work the fewest hours per week but still offer a decent living. Right now I'm a third year student planning to be a pharmacist.

What jobs typically have the least hours per week?
You WANT a life?

Move as far away as you can from US... !

Very decent wages in rich western Europe countries, lots of vacation, healthcare, high quality of life. You work less every day, less stress. Family friendly policies- maternity/paternity paid leave, nice pension etc. You'll be happy and eat ORGANIC food instead of plastic/GM food.

You chose- live to work OR work to live.

Stick with Pharmacy, either way, you'll have to work... but be smart- chose life over stress and stroke.
Reply:Think about Switzerland, too :) there are many countries...

This 5 weeks can soon become 8+ weeks PAID. sick days are UNLIMITED-healthcare is provided to everyone, childcare etc.

Poverty is only a term IN BOOKS and US movies... Look at how lengthy their life is :) Report It

Reply:sounds like you want a high paying job you can do part time... some options are vet, rn nurse, lawyer (if it your own firm), and of course politician
Reply:Dole bludging.
Reply:Sorry, dude, no such thing, no matter what you may have heard. Those who want to make a good living and provide for a family will be working their hindquarters off, NO MATTER WHAT profession you choose. Pharmacists make pretty good money, though, I've heard, so stick with that, if you like it. The important thing is to find something you LIKE DOING, because you are going to be spending LOTS OF HOURS doing it!
Reply:One job to consider (depending on where you live) is that of a garbage collector.

Here, the workers get paid by the route and not the hour.

That means the faster they whip through the job, the sooner they are home, and the pay is the same. Start early am and be done by noon or before.

Someone told me that most of the garbage collectors (rubbish runners) in our city are the artists, writers, and others who want to have most of the day for themselves.

I guess it depends on where you live if this would work for you.

Just an idea

=)
Reply:a part time job of 20 hours
Reply:No Job
Reply:politician
Reply:cleaning
Reply:unemployment......

Most full time jobs are 37.5 to 40 hours a week....if you want to work less than that work part time only ..that could be 15 to 22.5 hours a week...
Reply:less hours = less money
