What are some good jobs involving animals?

Hey there, so I am wondering what are some jobs that involve animals? I've already ruled out vet/vet tech and like animal police, what are some other good jobs though? I don't want to do like hollywood movie training or anything. This is for a project btw.

What are some good jobs involving animals?
Well, considering that I work and volunteer with animals, I can give you some good ones :)

Working at a boarding facility is a wonderful job. You get to take care of, play and watch other peoples dogs. Ive been doing this for a year + and I just love it. The place I work also has doggy daycare, for people who work to bring in their dogs from 9-5! Thats just fun. But with that you need to learn dog behavior and mannerisms, so that when introducing a dog, you don't run into aggression problems.

Volunteering at Cat-Dog rescue's and shelters are wonderful 'jobs'. Even though there is no pay involved, what you do there is life changing for each animal. I volunteer for a cat rescue, and have become a feral handler. I help socialize and train feral cats. So far I have tamed 39 feral cats into lovable lap cats for families.

Another one is helping out at humane societies. The need help walking dogs, taking care of kennels and so forth.

Pet sitting is also another fun cat/dog job. it's like having another pet!
Reply:If you have an animal shelter you can work as a kennel attendant. You can get a Vet assist.Cert. or a Vet Tech license which requires schooling. There are opportunities as an animal control officer.

No matter what you choose you can't have a fear of the animals because you will always encounter aggressive or vicious animals at some point.

If you work for the city or county as a kennel attendant its about $30,000 a year.

As a volunteer at the shelter there is no pay but the love that the animals give you.

Reply:How about being a dog trainer? Or, if you like horses and kids you could look into Equine Assisted Therapy. If you are writing a report, Equine Assisted Therapy is really interesting and you might be able to find a local place where you could interview people who participate.
Reply:Dog trainer, dog groomer, pet boarding facility owner/worker, veterinary receptionist (they still deal with the animals, just not as much as the vets and vet techs)
Reply:you could get involved in breeding, training, stuff like that
