What are jobs in the Calgary area like for a manual machinist?

What would the average wages be? What types of similar jobs are available? Any areas in particular where this type of work is more commonly available?

you will have no problem finding a job servicing the farm equipment industry there.

The wage will be comparable to the same job in any major city.

good luck
Reply:They're finding people with no experience at all and teaching them how to operate cn lathe for $30 - 40 000 a year, if you have experience as a machinist you'll easily find a job at a good wage. both Calgary and Edmonton ( the two big cities in Alberta) will have metal fabrication and machining jobs but in northern alberta you can make even more then you would in the cities ( Fort McMurray ).
