How do you get a job on a butterfly farm and what other insect related jobs are there?

I would like to work with insects very much. I love them and I love handling them, although I only keep them as a hobby. What would I need to be qualified to work with insects prefessionally and what kinds of jobs are there in this field?

How do you get a job on a butterfly farm and what other insect related jobs are there?
You could take up entomology.

Kinds of jobs:

Pest control firms

Researcher in agriculture related fields, either in government projects or in private firms

Consultant in a university, natural history museums

Medical, or veterinary entomology

Researcher or consultant in projects related to ecology involving insects

Consultant in commercial bee culture
Reply:Well, I live near the labs for Johnson Wax (makers of Raid) and I know they routinely hire scientists with insect related specialty. Though, that job probably involves alot of killing of insects. You'll likely need some sort of Entomology degree or background to be taken seriously.
Reply:-Major in biology and entomology. You will probably need a masters and or a PhD as well.

-While you're going to school you can work for the university as an intern or for your local park ranger's office

-Work for the US Dept of Agriculture, the CDC centers for disease control, The US Army, US Forest Service

-research scientist for companies like Bayer CropScience in California.

-Arborvirologist (studying insects eating crops and trees) you could work for big wineries and farms in California
