I am doing a career research project , and my teacher said we should pick jobs that would suit us well in the future. Being colorblind I already know I cant have certain jobs in the Military, and I cant be a Pilot, but what other careers cant I have?
What jobs cant you have being colorblind?
Jobs that involve hazmat or hazardous materials. The reason the warnings are color coded.
Reply:Although your question is negative and the assignment explanation is positive, there is one area of the military to which color blindness is absolutely a benefit. Because the use of merging colors in camouflage is less effective, you would be well suited in support of field artillery or reconnaissance. Good Luck.
Reply:In my area, you cannot be color blind and work for the Railroad. i guess they have color markers along the railroad that must be read by the Engineer or Conductor. I have a friend that tried for the R.R. and he was not picked because he is color blind.
