How do you gain experience if jobs require experience to get hired?

I've been turned down from alot of jobs because I don't have experience (such as working in sales), even though i know I can do the job with ease. How am I supposed to get a job in selling things if nobody will hire me because I need experience? Most of my friends I know have said they lied to obtain jobs. Do I need to lie? Is that what this world is coming to? If not, how can I prove im worthy?

Its sad but even I found out that in some case if you want somethings in this world (especially in america) you have to lie but how to lie is a different thing. Even though you have skills you might not have the skills close to what they require. If you want the job in sales you have to sell yourself like you have done this before and if you have sold something before (garge sale, school candy sale,etc) tell them yes but make what you have done in the past sound professinal. Reply:The conundrum of the world. They all want experience but how can you possibly get experience if no one will give you a chance. All I can say, is do you really want to get a job based on a lie? Probably not, that doesn't say much for your morals. I would just keep trying. Tell them flat out..I can do this job.. Give me a chance, let me show you and prove myself. If nothing else, try used car sales, they hire almost anyone and if you don't hack they send ya packing pretty quick. If you're good, they'll keep you on and you can make good money and get experience in sales.

a fund-raiser? Did you volunteer to sell your stuff at a flea market? Did you ever have a job selling newspapers? Did


you ever help your sibling, mom, dad, etc when they asked


someone to buy something from them or they suggested that


a certain item would be ideal to use? If so, then you have experience selling. It will not be a lie to say so.
